I’ve been making music electronically since the 90s, starting with DOS-based trackers, continuing through various early sound and music applications to modern DAW workstations. Along the way, I have gained experience with many applications, such as Reason and Pro Tools, and currently I mainly use Ableton Live and Logic Pro.
I work mainly with computers and use midi controllers to play, record and automate instruments and plugins. Also microphones are a staple to record vocals, instruments and sounds as needed and if the mood should strike.
My activity in music production has been quite varied throughout the years as apart from making music i’ve also recorded, mixed, produced, played as a dj and composed for media.
As a drummer i’ve performed in a variety of styles such as indie, electro, pop, rock, metal and progressive rock, both with acoustic and electronic drum set.
My taste in music is quite colourful as i’ve been digging all kinds of music since i was little. Some genres include funk, (neo) soul, jazz, drum n’ bass, jungle, breakbeat, techno, trip hop, hip hop, rock, metal, progressive rock and classical minimalism. Ambient, all kinds of odd avant garde, drone and film music are also my soft spots.
In 2018 i graduated as a music producer from Metropolia University of Applied Studies and currently also work as a teacher of electronic music production at the Pirkanmaa Music Institute and privately in Helsinki.
